Section 1 Classroom Rules
1) Be on Time. You must be in your seat when the bell rings.
2) Complete bell ringer quietly.
3) Be respectful of others learning. Rule of thumb: If everyone was doing what you are doing, would that be OK?
Section II If You Choose to Break a Rule
*Depending on circumstances, these may have to be adapted.
First Time: Verbal Warning
Second Time: Discussion After Class
Third Time: Rule appropriate consequence (Change in seat or group, time after class...)
Fourth Time: Detention
Fifth Time: Phone Call Home
Severe disruption (physically dangerous behavior, illegal acts, or insubordinate behavior): Student is sent immediately to the office
Section III Rewards
Positive verbal feedback, treats, positive phone calls home, extra credit opportunities
Section IV Procedures and Routines
Beginning of Class - A warm-up will be placed on the interactive board every day to quietly complete.
Consequence: Students that do not start the class activity on time will be considered tardy. Violations will be recorded and repeated violations will results in time in detention or after school.
Ending the Class Period - Students will be told when to pack up materials. Students should not pack up before the teacher tells them that this is ok.
Consequence: Violations will be recorded and repeated violations will results in time in detention or after school.
Tardiness - Students must be in their seat when the bell begins to ring.
Consequences: Students first two tardies are recorded. On the third tardy the student has earned a detention. Any further occurrences are 1 day of detention.
Section V Assess Out / Test Out
Students who request through the proper channels will be allowed to assess out of classes before they have taken the course. These students must perform at an 80% or better level on an exam encompassing all of the material of
